I've been pretty busy since the beginning of the year... My sister came to visit me in London mid-January and I took the opportunity to have a few days off and go to Prague with her. What a beautiful city !
Honestly... Wow ! Prague was very quiet in that time of the year (and really cold as well). A very few people were walking in the streets (which I can understand with minus 15ºC and the wind !)
We started the first day with a lunch at a tavern and we ordered some local and very wintery Czech food (goulash + bohemian pancakes which is basically a mix of sausages and choucroute in a pancake). We also ordered half a beer which we thought would be like in London... but no ! Half a beer in Prague means half a liter of beer !!!
Then we started the typical visit of the major touristic sites and we really felt like the city was just us.
Something that really caught my attention was the very little but oh so charming and mysterious (but also a bit scary when we looked inside... the few "windows" it has are so, so tiny) ukrainian church of St-Michel.
It's hidden in the woods on Petřín hill next to the city center. It was quite of a walk to go there (moslty in the snow) but it was definitely worth it !
As you can see, it inspired me a little illustration...

Something I really liked as well was Charles bridge and all the statues on it. One of them (which you can see on the montage below) is "supposed" to bring you luck when you touch it. And you can notice that over the years, where people touched it, the statue kept its original gold color !

There're many other things I could tell you about my trip in Prague, we had an amazing time ! But as you can see my English is not perfect and I don't want to bothering you any longer with my bla bla... :-)
I'll post some more stuff very soon...
Have a good week-end !
